VIDEO: Viola Davis Asked About Suicide Squad Set

Viola Davis was interviewed by E!News where she joked about what it was like to work on the Suicide Squad set:
"It got so crazy that there were times during filming that I had heart palpitations...".

When asked about Jared Leto's portrayal of the Joker, Davis said, "... y'know I almost had, like, my pepper spray out, y'know... 'You remember that bullet you sent me?' But he was completely committed, as all the characters are."
Davis talked about her other roles in the past, "I've worn a lot of aprons, I've been very nice," with her upcoming role as Amanda Waller straying from these "nicer" roles.

Viola Davis Asked About Suicide Squad Gifts

Viola Davis was interviewed at the Tribeca Film Festival where she was asked about whether she received any "gifts" from Jared Leto. She responded, "I did not receive any personally or else I would have got my husband, who was called ‘the headache ball’ back in the day when he played football. I would have said, ‘Take care of The Joker.’"

INTERVIEW: Viola Davis Talks About Suicide Squad

Viola was recently interviewed by Deadline regarding How To Get Away With Murder. She was then asked about Suicide Squad, to which she responded:

I have one more day, which I’m flying out for this weekend. I’ve been working on the film since April 1st. It sounds like a lot, but I haven’t been working every day. I haven’t done a lot of comic book movies, actually I’ve done none! DC Comics have a tendency to have darker characters. You know, Batman is a darker character, Harley Quinn, the Joker, and what David Ayer has managed to do is humanize them. I think that you see it in the trailer too–just something different about it that makes you lean in. What he’s explored is the pathology behind all of these characters, so you just get that extra spin that gives you the flavor and a look which is very different. And at the same time you get all the stuff that you’ve gotten before, which is the action, the special effects, the great makeup. I’m blown away by the movie. Once I saw the trailer, I was like, “Oh, my God. He really is a magician.” I mean, I had no idea. So, it’s been a real pleasure working on it with David Ayer.
